Warrented EP. 11: Renee Blair

We back!

Excited to release another new episode of Warrented.

This episode I was lucky enough to hang our with Renee Blair, up and coming artist.

I remember I saw Renee a few years back when I first moved to Nashville. This woman walks in to my favorite coffee shop with red, white, and black Air Jordan 1 Retro Highs on. Now, we all know my love for sneakers…

I was like, “Dang, that girl has swag.”

Then our worlds collided when she wrote one of my favorite songs with one of our writers called, “Bad News.” We dive more into this on the episode!

I heard that song and knew I needed to meet her.

Renee is bold, kind, and passionate. She is unapologetically herself striving to release the best music for her fans.

We talked about her love for country music and her path to get the Music City. Renee has had her sights on Nashville since a young age and knew where she needed to be to chase her dreams.

Drawn to country music for the ability to move you and the variety.

She goes into how she was amazed when she was younger when listening to a country station how a song like “She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy,” could come on and then “How Do I Live” would be played right after it. They were so vastly different with such different emotions evoked.

Originally supposed to be on tour this past year, Renee found new ways to be creative and still connect with music lovers.

Every morning she hosts a radio show, YOCO Nashville on 96.7 FM playing everything from Beyonce to Sam Hunt. Her mission is not to play just one genre but to play what the young country listener wants.

At such a young age, she has already accomplished so much. Renee continues to put her main focus on releasing new music and reaching new fans.

We had a lot of laughs recording this episode and thank you for taking the time to listen!
